That quote can be found on Driving Miss Norma's Facebook page. She travels across the United States, visiting historic locations, partaking in numerous adventures, and documenting them all online. She's also 90 years old.
It wasn't until Norma received some devastating news that she decided to pursue the incredible journey.
Norma did not have an easy 2015.
Within a two-week span, Norma's husband and partner of 67 years passed away and she was diagnosed with cancer. The doctor told Norma her options: surgery, radiation, and chemo. Still, there was no guarantee that she would survive the initial surgery.
Norma looked at the doctor and said...
"I'm 90 years old, I'm hitting the road."
She told her family beforehand that she had no interest in receiving treatment, and they respected her decision. Not wanting to leave Norma home alone without Leo or in a nursing home, they came up with a plan.
